Holiday strategy has not gone so well for me over the last couple of years. One of two disasters has occurred on each occasion. This year it was the turn of the meteorological one, so it rained all last week in Corfu. Obviously this came with many messages from the UK just to reiterate what I was missing. Despite this soggy holiday fracas, I take it willingly over the alternative scenario that now seems to accompany my forays abroad – a gastrointestinal episode of such bathroom-blasting proportions that last year it put me on a drip. Had I been conscious, this would have expanded my Spanish vocabulary considerably in the sorts of physiological areas that A Level just didn’t cover.
No matter. This last holiday was a break from ‘stuff’. Namely:
No Twitter for a week. Did I miss anything?
No-one said ‘content’ or ‘purpose’ (except in relation to the buffet)
No need for strategy, or creative execution (other than in relation to sunbeds).
I’m dragging out the holiday glow a little while longer, so in the spirit of no thinking at all I’ll let these two pictures do the talking and not worry any more about this piece of ‘content’ nor its lack of ‘purpose’. One is Corfu last Thursday lunchtime. The other is Highcliffe beach (Dorset) at 9.20 pm on Friday. It’s good to be home and warm again….
